Also known as VLPvolar locked platepalmar locking plate
A plate applied to the palmar (volar) surface of the distal radius through an anterior approach, with screws that lock into the plate at a fixed angle and support the joint surface from below. It allows early movement; its specific complications include flexor tendon irritation or rupture when it sits too far distally and extensor tendon injury from screws that are too long.
