Melanoma in situ

Also known as in situ melanoma Tis melanoma

A melanoma confined to the epidermis, the top layer of the skin, that has not yet grown into the dermis. It cannot spread to the lymph nodes or elsewhere and is cured by complete excision with a 5–10 mm margin.
