Sagittal band

Polski: (tłumaczenie w przygotowaniu)

The sagittal band is the transverse fibrous structure at the metacarpophalangeal joint that wraps around the extensor digitorum communis tendon and inserts onto the volar plate, centralising the tendon over the dorsal apex of the joint. The radial sagittal band is anatomically thinner and longer than the ulnar component, predisposing it to rupture in direct trauma; tear of the radial sagittal band produces ulnar subluxation of the extensor tendon at the metacarpophalangeal joint and an inability to initiate active extension.
