dual-screw fixation

Polski: podwójna osteosynteza śrubowa Czytaj po polsku →

Dual-screw fixation of the scaphoid uses two parallel headless compression screws to deliver greater rotational stability than a single screw construct. Biomechanical and small clinical series suggest theoretical advantages for oblique fracture patterns, revision fixation, and larger scaphoids with adequate bone stock. High-quality comparative evidence remains limited; single-screw fixation remains the standard for routine waist fracture surgery.
